A trip to Szeged and some American sodas

Hello!!!

Not the most exciting week, but I will try my best to make this email interesting.

Tuesday: After tracting we saw the most beautiful sunset I think I have ever seen!! I tried to get pictures of it but I was in the bus and the pictures didn’t do it any justice. But the sky was like neon red and it was crazy cool! I have never seen more beautiful sunsets than I have here in Hungary. This is a special place!

Wednesday: Zone training in Szeged! Which means I got to see my bestest friend, Gertsch Nővér! That always makes for the best day. We learned about involving members in our work and it was really great. I had to give a white handbook tip…and president was there so I was really nervous but I think I did okay haha! Afterwards, we all had pizza and then walked around the beautiful belvaros of Szeged. There was a wine festival going on so there were all these cool stands, and I finally found a házi áldás that I love!!!! I was so excited about it and I can just picture it hanging in my future home someday. I’ll write the translation at the end of this email 🙂 I got a package from home with pictures and conference talks which made me so happy too!!!

Thursday: We had a lesson with Gyöngyi about tithing which was actually pretty good! And we got to meet with a less active, Ildiko at the park. We just shared Helaman 5:12 and then played with her daughter a little bit in the fountains! That night we finally saw this cool thing we call the “spinny thingy” all lit up! If you go under it it looks like a kaleidoscope!

Friday: We had two lessons cancel on us…surprise surprise… so we tracted lots and then met with Polett! We shared the beatitudes with her and we were all feeling real uplifted and it was great!! I have a lot to work on though I realized! haha!

Saturday: I was pretty sick in the morning and I was so scared because we had a longggggggg bus ride out to a falu to be fed by Ircsi and her family for her mom’s birthday! I prayed so hard and was finally feeling well enough to go. DANG they can cook!!! They made stuffed potatoes and gulyás and oh my we were all in heaven!! And she even got me a special dessert because there was milk in their dessert. They are so so so kind. I’m still full from that meal!! aha!!DSCN2061DSCN2062DSCN2064

Sunday: Sándor got confirmed!!! Which of course was so awesome!! And that’s about all that happened. But I am so proud of Sándor and he just keeps telling us how happy he is. Love him!!!!

Monday: For Pday we had a tisza explore picnic! which was a real blast. And now I am here, emailing you all, my dear fans!

Randoms:

We eat too much so now we are on a diet. Haha we will see how this goes. Prayers would be nice 😉 Totally kidding. Maybe.

I got a bug bite on my face. This is where I draw the line!!! This is war, mosquitoes…

So not too much exciting stuff this week, sorry!!! But some weeks are just like that, am I right? I have been thinking this week about how all members are missionaries. I was expecting to feel so different when I became a missionary, but when I felt like the same person, I realized that it is because I have always been a missionary! The only difference now is that I have to wear fancy clothes and eat strange food and speak a funny language (or at least try to speak it!!) We are all being examples to everyone around us, and it is so important to live as Christlike as we can. Truly we never know who we might touch.

Remember to be a good friend, example, and missionary this week! Love you all lots.

sok szeretettel,

Mason Nővér
