Caught in a rain storm!

Hello everyone!!

This week was a really crazy one with lots of insane weather!! Let’s see:

Monday: I made the most delicious white chicken chili for dinner and it tasted just like home!!!! I was so happy and it was pouring rain and all was happy!!

Tuesday: It was pouring rain again!! So we had a long day of finding in the rain and that was rough. We got stuck in like 3 rainstorms with no umbrellas or jackets!! We were so unprepared and we got so wet. We got stuck at a bus stop in the rain and got so wet on the way to a lesson with Bogi. It ended up being a really good lesson! She is really progressing a lot and we are so excited about it.

Wednesday: The weirdest day ever. Weird thing after weird thing just kept happening. The weather was whack, we got lost multiple times, and had quite the adventure. We went to go visit a member, Erika, out in this super cute little neighborhood! So that was so fun. She gave us so many strawberries I thought I wouldn’t be able to finish. Her husband lost both of his legs, so being in their home has such a humble feeling. I love Erika so much!! One of the sweetest I have ever met. Then that night we went tracting in a neighborhood pretty far away. The buses only come out there once an hour, so when we got off the bus to see huge thunder clouds and a really gray sky we were kinda nervous, but just tracted anyways. Then the craziest rain I have EVER experienced started and thunder and lightning and everything was crazy and wet and we couldn’t find any cover!!!!!!! and of course we didn’t have jackets or umbrellas…you would think that we would have learned by then! But we didn’t. So we just kept tracting hoping someone would let us in. And of course they didn’t. Hahaha!!! You can’t tell so much in the pictures because my hair is up, but we were completely SOAKED. I really felt like I had just taken a shower in all my clothes! That’s just missionary life I guess. The longest hour of tracting that I have ever experienced haha!

Thursday: I was sick again so that wasn’t fun. We just tracted and visited a couple members and then the STLs came to Szolnok for splits!!

Friday: We had district meeting and then we went out with the STLs. I got to go with Sister Willets. It was great!!! She is such a hard worker and I learned a lot from her that day!! Then the STLs left and we got to meet with Polett, who is just the cutest!! Seriously. Every time I’m sad she can just tell and she makes my day so much better!! She took us out for lemonades after and she just made me so happy. Honestly I feel like she helps me more than I help her!!! Love love love her!DSCN2154

Saturday: A pretty rough day, because a very loved woman from the branch passed away. So it was a mellow day. We just had our weekly planning session and had a lesson on the 10 commandments with Anita. We had member Anita come with us, and it was so great. She is seriously the best missionary. She helps so much with her strong testimony! She can answer even the hardest questions so well!DSCN2124

Sunday: A really really good day at church!! I am starting to understand a lot more in talks and lessons and stuff so it is getting more fun for me to try and decode all of the talks. Hungarian is really hard people!!!!!!!!!! I keep reading about how my friends are already dreaming in their languages and just killing it. I’m starting to feel I will never be at that level…I can barely make it through a lesson on the Restoration!!!!! BUT its okay because God wouldn’t have sent me here if he didn’t think I could do it. So I’m just doing my very best because that is all He asks, and it is always enough.

Monday: Today we are in Budapest because I was finally brave enough to make a doctor’s appointment for my stomach issues. Wish me luck!! I am so scared but I have been really praying to be calm about it and it is working. So yay for a Pday in Budapest!! Tonight we will stay with the Kispest sisters and then go on splits with them. Woot woot!

Randoms:

We were stuck coatless in 5 rainstorms this week. Hopefully I have learned my lesson now.

My companion is getting so tan!! And I am just the same color all year round. Which isn’t really helping the I’m not a German thing I always have to say.

We found the coolest hair ties this week that look like little 80’s key rings. Needless to say we each bought a pack.

I hope you all have a really great week and that you remember how truly blessed you are!! God truly knows and loves you. I promise!!
