Splits in Kispest!

This was a really really good week for some random reasons. Sorry if this email is a little short or boring though…I really feel like I am the worst at capturing a week worth of stuff in one tiny email! But I will really try 🙂

Monday: A fun pday in Budapest!! After emailing we went to the big mall in Budapest and got lunch and shopped around and felt like normal people again! And we got fanny packs! Everyone uses them here and we think they are so cool!! I have been dying to find a good one. All this weird music was playing (we didn’t recognize any of it and then just assumed that it was all new…) and we felt like total outsiders! And it’s only been 6 months. It’ll be weird to see the world as it really is when I get home…in just a year from this week!!! Anyways after that we went to my doctor appointment and I was scared out of my mind. But they spoke pretty good English there and just wanted me to come back the next day for further testing and things. Nothing to be scared of!

Tuesday: I went back to the doctor for some more blood tests and bla bla bla and I only cried a little!! So proud of myself. I’m really changing hahaha! Then after the doctor…best. day. ever. We were on splits with the Kispest STLs and I got to go with Heath Nővér this time. That’s my current companions last companion. I LOVE HER!!! She is going home next week which I am sad about but she is seriously the cutest and nicest. They have all the cool sights in Budapest in their proselyting area…so I got to see some really cool things I have been dying to see ever since I heard where I was called to serve my mission, which was about a year ago now. Craziness!!!!! I got to see Parliament, the Danube, the Basilica, the shoes along the river…and I got to ride the metros which made me feel like I was in Paris again and everything was so beautiful and this is the longest run on sentence ever AND I LOVE BUDAPEST!!!!!!! I really fell in love with it on Tuesday. All I know is that I. Must. Serve. There. I have to!!!!! I love it !!!!!!!! All day I was so giddy and happy. Really the perfect day!

Wednesday: We got to meet with Gyöngyi and talk more about the priesthood which was really good. She’s having a hard time understanding that. Then we got to bring Judit to Bogi’s lesson… WOOHOO they are like best friends! Her lesson was so so so good and we love that she and Judit are friends. If i do one good thing on my mission I would be happy if that was it. Then I made delicious chicken tacos and lime rice for dinner. Pretty mellow, but good day 🙂

Thursday: All of our lessons cancelled, persza. So we just streeted around and tracted a lot and stuff! We also had a district meeting where we learned about tenacity which was great!!!

Friday: We went out to Cibakháza for a funeral. That was rough. It was so cool to see the branch all rallied up together and supporting each other. It was really hard for me though. I have never been to a funeral like that and it just broke my heart. So grateful for forever families and the knowledge we have of God’s plan for us. Then Ircsi fed us again and we were so stuffed!

Saturday: Polett took us out for Limonádék and we got to meet her best friend. They are actually taking us to a little city today for pday which will be so fun!

Sunday: Church was a broadcast to Europe from Salt Lake City which was really good!! We went to Kati nénis house too and it was soooo fun! One of my most favorite programs. She made us erdei gyümölcs tea which is my absolute favorite!!! And lots of suti and yummy treats and stuff. So good!

Randoms:

I finally got my residency card! Looks like I won’t be getting deported!!

Well that’s about it for this week. Next week pday is Tuesday because…TRANSFERS!!! What in the world!!!!!!!!!! I don’t want this transfer to ever end. I am so happy in Szolnok with Sister Greenwood. Starting to realize how quick the next year will go and its freaking me out. Trying to get the most out of every moment!!
