Beautiful Kaposvar…

Hey hey hey everyone!!

Feels like its been forever since I wrote!

The last two weeks have honestly been probably two of the craziest of my whole life. But SO GOOD too!! This will be extremely unorganized again. Let’s see…

Transfers!! Packing up and leaving Szolnok was the. HARDEST. thing. ever. I love my people there! More than anything!!! And not to mention is was hard to pull my suitcases out of there, down SO many stairs…more stairs at the train stations…onto two different trains…to the mission home…and all again back the other way. One of my suitcases literally lost all the wheels so we were dragging a wheeless, probably like 80 lb suitcase, behind us and we got lots of funny looks. Definitely buying a new one before next transfer… I got to the new house I live in (that’s right…house!! not apartment!!) and it was so disgustingly dirty I spent all evening deep cleaning everything and my comp kept calling me crazy – haha! She got to see the real me right off the bat.

THIS CITY!!!! Honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve been. I am so lucky to be here this time of year too with all the flowers and everything!!!! Happy happy happy. Lots of beautiful walking streets and churches and statues and fountains. 🙂

We have the BEST senior missionary couple here, the Petersons. They were in the MTC with me! They are SO kind and do so much for us. I love them with my whole heart! Their apartment is a home away from home for me. So blessed to have them.

Apparently everyone travels to Lake Balaton every summer, because we are so close. We aren’t allowed to go there in the summer months as missionaries which is sooooo sad because I want to see it so bad!! I saw it from the freeway car window and I about died at how beautiful it is. Hoping I serve close to it in the fall too so I can go visit!

The branch here is the cutest! It’s bigger than Szolnok and there is a primary! Still only abut 30 people though, but its good. Can’t wait to get to know and serve these people 🙂

We get fed a lot here which is really fun!!! And in church there are SO MANY foreigners! I translate for the senior couple, my companion translates into Serbian for a Serbian man (he is from Germany too) and he translates from Serbian to German for a German couple and the elders translate to English for these other German people!! It’s so crazy and fun!!!

We teach the cutest people ever, Magdus (she’s a neni) and her daughter Brigi. She’s been investigating for 8 years and is basically a member. But when Brigi’s daughter, Evi went on a mission to England in August Magdus started invesigating! Woot Woot! They are so fun and I love them a lot.

So the Serbian/German guy, Slavo…he lives in a little falu about an hour away. He invited us to come over so the Petersons drove us. He had his two Hungarian neighbors there ready for us to teach them!! We have no idea how they even communicate because Slavo speaks no Hungarian. It was super cool though. And he took them to church and everything! Woohoo!!!! I guess speaking the language well isn’t the most important part of missionary work. Now we have 2 new people to teach too!!

My comp loves me because I’m not afraid to call people on the phone to set up appointments with them! hahaha! All the missionaries are so afraid of it. So funny.

We spent last pday in Budapest before my doctor appointment, and we went to go see a little castle and Heroes square! Sooooooo stinking cool. I LOVE BUDAPEST!!!!!! It’s gonna take a lot for me to leave this place…

At my doctor appointment I didn’t even cry when they took my blood!!!! I’m a big girl now haha!

Randoms:

Spent a night eating fagyi under a church by a beautiful fountain…can’t complain!!

Driving out to a falu this week we saw the COOLEST stork nests on top of telephone poles. I tried to get some good pics. One of the coolest things I’ve seen!

Also driving out to the falu we saw huge fields of…ALMOST SUNFLOWERS!!!!! It was my dream to serve by sunflower fields in the summer time. I can’t wait for them to bloom so I can take cool pics!!

America and its blessed air conditioning…number one thing on my trunky list right now.

Today is day #201 of my mission. I made it this far alive!!! Starting to be saddened by how quickly its going…making every day count 🙂

Sorry for the crazy email this week. And for not sending one last week! My computer was broken and I only got to be on for about 20 mins. This week we had zone training in Budapest. The biggest thing that I got out of it…get over yourself. Sounds harsh…but really the mission…and I guess just normal life…are not about you!! Get over yourself, think about others, and get out there and save some souls!! (haha or if you’re a normal person, and not a missionary…get out there and serve and love people!!!!! I guess you can do some soul saving too.) This week I am trying to humble myself and realize how much I rely on the Lord for everything. And working on getting over myself too.

Have a great week!!! Love you lots.

sok szeretettel,
