Happy 4th Mindenki!!

This week was quite uneventful so please forgive the lack of excitement in this email.

Tuesday: We went to Slavo’s falu again and taught his neighbor, Rozsa. She is so great and ready to hear this gospel. We are really excited about her! Teaching her the Plan of Salvation this week 🙂 We found a sign on the way there for a city called Mike! (shout out to my brother in law!!) haha!

Wednesday: Magdus made a delicious lunch and meggy suti (sour cherry pastry thing). To die for!! She is the cutest neni ever!! Love her. We talked about baptism and she said she would pray about a date! So that is also very exciting. She always says she is too old to change and she doesn’t want to change and all that kind of stuff so this is a huge step for her! Then that night I got a package from my mama!! Package days are THE BEST DAYS!!! That’s for sure.

Thursday: Angol ora (English class) and tracting. Pretty boring stuff. Haha.

Friday: It was Magdus’ birthday so we surprised her with birthday flowers at her house!! She freaked out and was so so so excited and kept hugging me and kissing me and telling me how much she loved me! I was so happy to see her so happy.

Saturday: District meeting all about Christlike attributes…seriously the district meetings are what keep me alive. So uplifting!!!!

Sunday: Church and studies all day. Church here is so cool because the branch is a lot bigger…but also scarier because its bigger. Haha mixed feelings about that! But these people here are so amazing. They make me smile!!!

Monday: The 4th!!!!! I LOVE the 4th of July. Only bummer is, this year I am not in the USA, nor do I have an American companion. So I threw on some red, white and blue and celebrated in my heart on this beautiful pday!

Randoms:

A really scary man walked up to us and started talking at the bus stop. I didn’t know what do do…and then my companion starts speaking horrible Hungarian (on purpose) saying “Sorry. I am not to understand. Doesn’t spoke Hungary.” and I was like trying so hard not to laugh my face off and that was a weird situation haha.

President let me buy a blender since I am supposed to be drinking spinach smoothies!! Woot woot!!!!!!! Smoothies are the best.

I AM OBSESSED WITH NECTARINES. That is all.

To be completely honest, Sundays are a really hard day for me as a missionary. I think its just the whole being at church in all Hungarian with all these little families and things that just makes me a little homesick. (I know that means I’m being self centered blah blah blah haha but work with me here I’m a human). This Sunday was especially hard for me because my sister is at home with my family and its summer and all that good stuff. In church there was a baby blessing. I was being so grumpy inside up until this point. But as the little baby was being blessed I just had the strongest impression come into my heart. It said to imagine how much I love my family. To remember how much it hurts to be so far away…and then to imagine how much I will love my future family, and how excited I will be when it is my baby being blessed by a righteous priesthood holder. I couldn’t hold it in of course and just started crying so hard and feeling the spirit so strong. I know I am here for these people I am teaching. I KNOW THAT. But I also know that I am here for myself. I am here for my family, and I am especially here because God needs me to be prepared to be the mother of my future family. And there is nothing else I would rather be doing than preparing to take upon myself that most important role of being a mother.

I hope you all remember this week how much your Father in Heaven loves you. He has placed you exactly where you are. You are being prepared for things in your life you can’t even comprehend yet. I am so grateful for a loving Father in Heaven!!

Have the best week!!

sok szeretettel,

Mason Nover
