Fall is that you?

Is it just me or do the weeks keep going by faster and faster and FASTER? Seriously the last month has flown by. Can you believe it is October this week?? what!? I feel like the last three weeks have all been one.

So this week:

Tuesday: We woke up to a drill for what the missionaries would do in an emergency here in Hungary. I was pretty sure it was a drill but no one knew about it, even the zone leaders, so we were kind of freaked out! It was really good to practice though and be prepared just in case something bad does happen. We were so relieved when we met the elders at the branch house and got a phone call that the whole thing was a drill. Jaj! stuff like that just scares me. Then the STLs from Buda came over for splits!!! I just love those sisters. They make me so happy.

Wednesday: I got to go on splits with Giullian Nővér, my bff Gertsch Nővér’s trainer! Dang it I love her. She gave me lots of good language study advice and helped me feel like I am doing better than I think I am. Splits are just the best, and I LOVE my STLs 🙂

Thursday: Weekly planning, tracting, and Angol óra. Boring but happy day 🙂

Friday: We got to go meet with Dalma again! She is doing so well. We talked about charity, why it is important, and how we can develop it. Then we went to Hódmezővásárhely to visit with that less active member we randomly met on the street there. She is so cool! She reads the Book of Mormon every day and has the strongest testimony. She loves the missionaries that taught her and told us all about them. I just love missionaries!!!!!!!!

Saturday: District meeting! Woot woot! Then we talked to Melinda again about quitting the smoking. It looks like we are going to have to move her baptismal date back a little bit, BUT NE FÉLJ!! It is going to happen. She just needs time. The hardest thing as a missionary is people’s agency and patience with God’s timing. But I know those are two very important things, so I am learning to deal haha! We also went back to meet with Laci again after about a month break. We were hoping a little break would help him recognize the importance of these things and help him to want to progress more. And it did!! He was just talking about how much he missed us and how much he wants to keep progressing in the gospel. He is in a little bit of a hard place right now, and for the moment baptism isn’t really an option, so we are working on the little things with him.

Sunday: Church was really good! My sweet companion Vielstich Nővér, gave a talk on the Book of Mormon and totally killed it! She is the coolest.

Randoms:

This week all of a sudden it was just really cold! Fall is here! Somehow I made it through a brutal Hungarian summer. Now for a brutal winter… 🙂

I am obsessed with the grafitti in this city. I really need to stop and take pics of more of it!!

I would like to apologize for the lack of photos! We are just so busy and the time is going by so fast and I feel like a crazy woman!

This week I was joking around with Vielstich Nővér about some crazy stuff that was going on. I was being a little whiny and then I just kind of stopped and said, you know what? It is all going to be okay. Even if it hurts and is sad and hard right now, it is ALL going to be okay. Even if we die, it will be OKAY. And we just kind of laughed and talked about how great this gospel is. I am so grateful for the knowledge that no matter what life throws at us, it might sting a little and it might be really hard. But because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, everything will be okay in the end. It will all be more than okay, even perfect! I am so grateful for that knowledge. And I am so grateful for a companion that lets me joke until we cry 🙂

I hope you all have the best week ever! Remember how much you are loved. It’s a lot 🙂

Sok szeretettel,

Mason Nővér
