100 days!

Hello family and friends!!!!!

I feel like I was just emailing, probably because I actually was. But anyways… nothing has really happened since Wednesday, so this might be a little bit short and boring…

This week I hit 100 days out on my mission!! WOW that went by quick!! Only 445 left, and I am way determined to MAKE THEM COUNT!!

So this week…

Wednesday: After emailing, we went to pay the library people, and they said it was free that time!! Mit csoda?? We were so excited. #tendermercies

Thursday: St Patrick’s day!!! Except that is actually not a thing here. But it was exciting anyway. We got to ride in a member’s car, which was super cool!! I MISS CARS!! Such a blessing to have one at home.

Friday: A weird day, but probably the best one this week anyway! We were supposed to go to Budapest for an appointment for Withers Nővér…but while we were on the train the mission President’s wife, Szabadkai Nővér, called us and told us that we actually didn’t need to come up until Wednesday. So we turned back around and went back to Szolnok. But since we were planning on being gone all day, we didn’t have any lessons or member visits or anything planned. So we decided to street around for a couple of hours and we actually had a lot of success. We met a couple of super nice people, and they told us we were good at speaking Hungarian!! Which never happens! So that was super great!! We handed out two Book of Mormons, and it was the most beautiful weather! It was impossible to not have a smile on our faces!! 🙂 We also fed a homeless man so we felt pretty good after that haha! Then we met with Polett, and of course went out for some forro csoki after.

Saturday: We helped a member, Gyöngyi, translate a job application from Hungarian to English, because for some reason she had to have one in each language. That was really hard!! But it was a good morning. And then we had district meeting, which is always the best. I love my district and district meetings are so great because they give me the spiritual boost I need for the rest of the week. And a major plus is that they are in English!!! YAY!! We met Polett’s mom! She is so kind! We had a fun time getting some bodza and talking about her plans to move to Szolnok to be closer to Polett. It made me so happy and I promised myself right then and there that I am never moving away from my mom ever again!

Sunday: We had another calm Sunday this week, which was very needed. I love not being so rushed on Sundays. It’s a really nice break. We got to meet with Sándor, of course. Which was great, of course! He is really progressing and we are so so so proud of him. We love him so much!! I really need to get a picture with him and Judit. And then you would understand our obsession!!

Monday: PDAY!! We cut the Elders hair. Then a trip to Auchan (the best grocery store ever) and the Piac and a relaxing afternoon. A trip to H&M which is always fun, and now emailing which is always the highlight of my Mondays!

Randoms!

We are going to Budapest on Wednesday, and we are planning on going to GAP during our lunch!! AHHHHHHH my home.

The nénis here pull around the funniest little cart things. So we call them néni carts and I am totally coming home with one. #BYUfall2017 (that’s the little things I’m posing by in the store window)

That’s about it for this week. Because of the Easter holiday, my pday won’t be until Tuesday next week. But I hope that you all have a very happy Easter and that your thoughts are turned to Christ. Remember that even if you were the only person on the Earth, Christ still would have come down and suffered all that He did. Just for YOU. That is something that brings me so much peace. The atonement can change your life too! Just let Him in 🙂

Sok szeretettel,

Mason Nővér
